Play UltiMax like an app
Add UltiMax to your phone or tablet's home screen and it opens full screen, with no browser bars and no page scrolling or zooming while you throw. It takes about 20 seconds and needs no app store.
iPhone and iPadYour device
- Open ultimax-frisbee.vercel.app in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, at the top on iPad).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Keep the name UltiMax and tap Add.
- Open UltiMax from its icon on your home screen.
On iOS 16.4 or later, Chrome and Edge have Add to Home Screen in their Share menu too.
AndroidYour device
- Open ultimax-frisbee.vercel.app in Chrome.
- Tap the menu at the top right.
- Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app), then Add or Install.
- Open UltiMax from its icon on your home screen.
Samsung Internet: tap the menu , then Add page to → Home screen.
Before you switch: keep your team
On iPhone and iPad, the home-screen app keeps its own save, separate from Safari's. If you've been playing in Safari as a guest, sign in to an account first (ACCOUNT in the game's menu), so your cloud save comes with you. Then sign in again in the home-screen app. On Android, your save usually carries over.
Tips
- Turn your phone sideways: UltiMax plays in landscape. If it won't turn, switch off rotation lock.
- Updates arrive on their own. Close the app and open it again to get the newest version.
- Low Power Mode can make matches less smooth. Turn it off if the game stutters.
- The phone controls (manual throws, manual layouts, joystick) are in SETTINGS in the game.
